3) Safely removing the dogs apart: Several website recommend this particular tactic in removing the dogs apart. You will need the help of another person to do the job. Each person will need to approach the dog from behind and grab their legs, but it must be where their legs meet their body. Do not grab them anywhere lower, as this could result in injury, ASPCA notes. Now, once you have a firm grip on their legs, pull them apart and turn them around so they are not facing each other.
