Researchers have discovered that our dogs will side with us if they see us rudely treated by another person. So what does this say about our dogs? That they’re more in tune with the subtleties of socializing than we give them credit for!

“We discovered for the first time that dogs make social and emotional evaluations of people regardless of their direct interest,” Professor of comparative cognition Kazuo Fujita from Kyoto University told the news organization.

Who knew our dogs were so in sync with society? They truly are our best friends!
